Our Role

Originally called The London Infirmary, The Royal London Hospital was founded in September 1740. The hospital complex underwent major redevelopment and modernisation from 2005 with the newest building opening in 2012. The redevelopment of The Royal London Hospital involved the demolition of 21 buildings and the construction of 5 new buildings, resulting in an increase in total floor space from 127,296 sq m to 225,229 sq m.
